60Th Birthday Life Quilt
I have made this cake several times for milestone birthdays. It is meant to be a quilt with each square on the quilt representing a significant moment/ hobby in their life. All images are made from fondant including the 3-dimensional pieces. Ideas include marriage, children, careers, hobbies, places they have lived, grandchildren, awards. Stitching in between squares is done in buttercream. Always a real hit for the recipient. i have even been told some tears are shed. Could be used for a retirement cake too.

Hot Dog In A Bun
this cake was requested for an employee who was leaving the job. apparently she loves hot dogs so they picked a cake shaped like one. I used a 1/2 sheet cake and cut and stacked it for the bun and covered it in fondant. then I covered 3 Ho-Ho's in fondant for the hot dog itself. they loved it!

Minnie Mouse Birthday
Customer wanted a Disney themed cake but not princesses. We decided to go with Mickey and Minnie Mouse so I did the color scheme in the traditional red, black and white and added the bow for Minnie mouse as well as a few Duff roses around the banner. Hat is half dome cake and fondant ears on top of 8" round cake. thank you cc decorators for inspiration.

3D Boy Reading Under Covers
This was a cake I donated to my childrens elementary school "literacy night". The event was to promote reading in young children so I designed the cake around all of those late night flashlight readers. The bed frame, bedspread, cat, book and boy were all done in fondant. The cake is a 1/4 sheet cut in half and stacked. I didn't have a whole lot of time to work on it or I would have dedicated more time to the bedspread by giving it a pattern or some type of decoration.

Bridal Shower Topsy-Turvy Cake With Frog
this was my first attempt at a topsy-turvy cake. this was for a bridal shower done inher colors (mossy green and champagne). And she collects frogs, hence the little creature sitting in the bow topper. I dusted all of the fondant work with shimmer dust. They really loved it!
