Frog Prince Cake View
Sorry for the second upload. I love the idea of the lilypad with the flower, but would definantly use fondant next time for a neater look. The petals were much to thick and didn't dry well enough to work with. Next go I would use gumpaste for the petals, and definantly make more of them. I secured them with toothpicks, which didn't work well, I would love any ideas on how to improve on that. This was a "for fun" project, just trying to work out an idea in my head.

Frog Prince
This little guy's been kissed, but he's still a frog.... Lot's I'd do different, I wish I had kept him the nice shade of green I had origionally tinted the fondant, he's a little too "overdone'. I think the tinted fondant looks more edible. I need to figure out something different next time with the crown as well. This is practice, and wasn't made for anyone, so live and learn.

Front View
Sorry for the double upload!!! This Is the front, EE is for the Eddie Express!! The movie "The Polar Express" made a big impact on my son's little friend this Christmas. I had intended to do a sheet cake, but little fingers asaulted the train, and I had to spend time repairing it. I ended up using rounds I had ready and iced for another project that I had hoped to do for fun that weekend. You can see the little finger poke on the front window. I would love to try this again doing a Christmas train.

Pirate Ship Birthday Cake
I used the pirate ship birthday cake kit to make this for my son's best friends birthday last weekend. I was in a hurry and would have done some things differently, starting with adding more heigth to the bow of the ship and more detail such as windows and "water" to hide the tin foil covered cake board. Overall, I'm pleased, and the three year old boy who recieved it was over the moon.
