Optimus Prime Helmet
Oh. My. Gosh. This cake was the most challenging cake of my entire cake hobby career! Took me 12 hours all said and done I think! I started with 9 inches stacked of 12 rounds (if that makes sense) then I carved it down to the basic helmet shape and built up from there with MMF. This is for a 4 year old boy and I cant wait to see his facehopefully he will let his mama cut into it (I made cupcakes just in case, lol)

Happy Divorce Cake
This cake was initially going to be pretty hard core angry...bride cutting the head off the groom but then as time passed, she became more "zen" about the whole situation and wanted something uplifting. She has a dragonfly tattoo that she wanted worked in so I figured a pond theme would be easiest :) The cake rounds are 10x6 and 6x4 and everything is MMF and gumpaste. Thanks for looking!

The Granny Panty Cake
Ok...I am cracking up as I type this. When I asked the client what type of cake would best respresent the person turning 50 I got, "She reminds me of granny panties." HAHA This was the best I could come up with given that statement. The lid is styrofoam covered with fondant, everything else is fondant accents with real granny panties...the largest I could find at Target actually (the cake board is 26 inches if that gives you any idea!). LOL enjoy...

German Chocolate Cake With Candied Macadamia Nuts
For the nuts: I skewered the Macadamia nuts gently and set aside. I put 1/2c Light Corn Syrup, 1c superfine sugar and 1tsp water into a heavy glass measuring cup. Microwaved for 6.5min (Hard Crack stage), dyed pink and then let cool for a min or two (Until bubbling stops). I carefully dipped each nut and let majority of the syrup drip back into the bowl and once hardened slightly, I put each skewer under a cuttingboard on my counter to continue to dry (Good idea to put a cookie sheet on the floor to catch any drippings). I hope that makes sense :)

Zebra Graduation Cake
This cake was a BLAST to do!! The rounds are all 3" deep (2 layers per tier), 6", 9", 12" all covered with MMF. The stripes are painted on with black food coloring. The stars are fondant skewered with (cleaned) florist wire, and the ribbon and balls are fondant as well. By far, my favorite to do so far!

Snow White Cake
I used the Wilton Wonder mold for her dress. Rolled 7 1/2" fondant bars to attach to the cake before I covered it with fondant so it looked like pleats. I used an actual snow white doll (looked more like the character than the one that came with the pan). I washed her and then wrapped her legs with seran wrap before sticking her in the cake. All of her clothes are fondant also. Thanks for looking!!

1St Birthday Cake
This cake looked better in my head but I was exhausted when I tried to do it (It was my 3rd cake in 24 hours plus I still had to get the house ready for a large birthday party). It was supposed to be 3 layers...that's how tired and done with it I was! lol The photos are edible images showcasing pictures from every month of my little man's life :) The cake topper is a large circle of gumpaste dried and then an edible image attached. Thanks for looking!

50Th Anniversary Cake
8" and a 12" square cake covered with MMF. The couples photos are edible images on fondant/gumpaste "frames" decorated with edible pearls dusted with gold luster dust (the images were all around the cake, not just the front). The Calla Lily Flowers are sugar, the ribbon around the base & the cake toper are the only things not edible on the cake. This was the first cake I made my own fondant :) I have a great Marshmallow Fondant recipe if anyone wants it!

Airplane Cake
This cake was very time consuming but I think it turned out okay! I baked two 16" layers and stacked them then carved out my airplane shape (a big time consuming part of the process). Covered it with fondant and added my fondant accessories. I "painted" the airplane with water to give it a shiny metal appearance. The wings are cardboard covered with fondant (I only had 8 hours to bake and create this cake so I didn't have time to make them from gumpaste...gotta love last min orders!)
