Alice In Wonderland
This is a cake that I made for the 2010 KY State Fair. It is entered into the Professional Division: Birthday Cakes. It took lots and lots of time and patience to make all the figures and sculpt everything. Everything is either fondant or a mixture of fondant/gumpaste. Thanks for looking!

Severed/bitten Arm Cake
Where to start... lol. First I guess I should state that I am currently in the Dental Assisting program. Tomorrow is the 2009 Kentucky Dental Association's annual conference in Louisville. My class is doing a presentation on how to catch criminals that bite their victims. That's why there are bite marks in this cake lol. I carved the arm and covered this in fondant. I added all my details and then airbrushed the whole thing. I made the fingernails seperate and added them after they dried.

Realistic Fish Cake
I carved this fish out of two 13 x 9's that I had stacked. This was the first time that I had carved a cake and it was a very scary task! I covered the cake in fondant and hand painted the coloration on. The lady requested that the "bait" on the hook be a wedding ring. I thought it turned out cute.

Tinkerbell Birthday Cake
The bottom layer consists of 2 eight inch cakes, and the top layer is 2 six inch cakes. It is iced in buttercream. It is sprayed with the Wilton sprays in pink, purple and blue. The cake topper is a candle that I purchased. This is the second cake like this that I have decorated. After my friend seen the first tinkerbell cake I decorated she decided that she wanted it recreated for her daughters first birthday. Let me know what you guys think about it! Thanks for looking!

Christmas Present - Fondant/gumpaste Final
This is a picture of my final cake in the Fondant/Gumpaste Wilton class. Obviously, it is covered in fondant with fondant accents. The ribbon and bow are dusted with gold luster dust. I wanted to do something more elaborate for my final but I was so busy that week that I had to simplify my plans. I know Christmas is over, but I'm just now getting around to adding photos! Let me know what you guys think!

Bright Fondant Flowers & Butterflies
This is the 2nd cake I have decorated with fondant. I cut strips using a patterned roller and placed them on the cake as flowers. All the decorations are fondant. I threw this cake together one night to get some practice in ( I've taken the first class of the Wilton fondant course so far)

Wilton Course 2 Basketweave Cake - Fall Theme
This is the final cake from Wilton's Course 2. This was my first time doing the basketweave and I really liked it. It makes a great impression. The pumpkins, leaves, and the scarecrow are all colorflow. The basket handle is made of royal icing. I attached long sucker sticks to the scarecrow and both sides of the handle so I could stick them in the cake.
