I made this just for fun after reading a thread about a month ago and a few of the members wished they had a kitchen fairy to clean up all the mess for baking/decorating. Well, here she is!!! LOL :D She's made from gumpaste, wings are rice paper, cloth & pot are fondant. I stuck her in a cup so I could take the pics. :)

Cakes are a carved baseball bat and a ball pan baseball cake. Cakes are lemon with lemon curd filling, lemon BC icing. Scoreboard is royal icing. ...... Sorry for the poor quality pic. It is another I found while rooting through old snapshots (pre- digital camera & computer). Sorry too for reflection from flash on foil. Not a good shot of bat either, it wasn't quite that chunky looking like that. Should have taken a side shot.

Family Reunion

Our 1st reunion held at a niece's home. I used the Wilton 18'' half round pan. First cake was chocolate cake/icing with icing & nutella filling. Second half was strawberry cake/icing with icing/strawberry filling (from can). I put the cakes together to make one huge cake then covered it with fondant. Leaves were royal icing, faces were tinted white chocolate, writing was icing, fondant lace around base.

My son's 43rd b'day. Another lemon explosion cake; lemon cake, lemon BC icing, lemon MMF fondant & decorations, sparkle dust. I used a cutter for the leaves but had to draw & cut out the Masonic symbol. The leaves are painted antique gold. The symbol too is painted with luster dust antique gold and super blue. The symbol was difficult for me, since it was the first time I had to draw & cut it. I'm happy with it.

Cake is lemon with lemon curd filling and lemon icing. Fondant guitar shape on top of cake. Neck of guitar is fondant over cardboard. Strings are twine coated with royal icing. Knobs are silver painted white chocolate. Also there is a mini cake for another grandson who turned 1 two days before!!! SORRY FOR POOR QUALITY PIC.

My son, father of Aidan, made this cake. I think he did a great job carving the shape correctly. He carved it to look the same shape as Aidan's bottles with the curve at the top. All lemon cake, buttercream, & filling. We found out Aidan loved lemon when he took a fresh lemon from my cart, bit it & like it! MMMMMmmmmmmmmmWOW Grammy helped by tracing Adidan's hands & feet then doing them with fondant. What a job tracing his hands & feet!!!

White cake and vanilla icing. My granddaughter's choice (YUCK . . I hate vanilla). Her 18th birthday! Yikes! Fondant covers cakes & towers/turrets. Large candles were used for the towers. Antique bronze luster dust for the cone tops and a few other places. Soft black and brown petal dust was used to give an aged appearance. Unfortunately I didn't finsh decorating and rushed the last of what I did. I didn't think it would take so long to do! Good thing it was a free family cake!

The cake is a pineapple/coconut (pina colada). Filling is crushed pineapple mixed w/pineapple/coconut BC, then topped with toasted coconut. Iced w/BC pineapple/coconut then covered in pale green fondant. Leaves were drawn & colored w/gels. Large fairy is fondant. Embossers were used for woodland fairies and toadstools. This was my b'day cake; reason being a couple very dear to me gave me the woodland embossers & also loves autumn leaves.
