Lego Power Miners Rock Monster

This is my son's 8th birthday cake, a Lego Power Miners Rock Monster. The Lego mini fig monster Fireox is standing beside it. Cake body is basic chocolate cake mix baked in 2 pyrex bowls, sculpted and joined together. Head and arms are moulded from rice crispies and copha set in bowls and cups and attached to the body by straws and skewers. Feet (OK I cheated a little here) are 2 small plastic tubs strong enough to bear the weight! Orange and grey frosting is decorated with crushed barley sugar sweets with eyes and other pieces made from rolled fondant. Thanks to the many on this site who share their designs and methods and who make it possible for me to meet the annual birthday challenges with a positive attitude!
