Loved making this one. Learned a lot about travelling with a topsy turvy cake, like DON"T!!!! A lesson in cake stability. A stressful afternoon, but in the end, a VERY happy recipient and rave reviews. *Note* ALWAYS bring a repair kit with EVERYTHING you could possibly need, and ALWAYS have a second person help deliver a topsy turvy so someone can keep it stable in the car!!
12" 9" 6" covered with MFF with MFF decorations. This cake had to endure a 2 1/2 hr car ride, a ride up the arial tram (to the top of the mountain), then a bumpy shuttle bus ride the the ski lodge where the reception took place. A lot of adjustments had to be made on site due to the altitude change and travel, but all in all, it turned out ok. And check out the view of Lake Tahoe behind the cake! Lovely backdrop for photos!!
Surfer baby molded from gumpaste, chocolate surfboard, chocolate and pretzel palm tree, fondant ocean waves...this is the mmf batch I had so much trouble with...thanks for the help in the forums! I was able to save it enough to wrap just the sides.

Tiny cake for a 2 yr old's birthday. it's a 5" 4" 3" with MMF
Got the design inspiration from a cake by jylbug. Stayed up waaay to late doing this one...not my best work...but everyone loved it anyway. Used the sportsball pan, the cake was too heavy and it was crushing itself...Now I understand why people use styrofoam!
Gumpaste Fairy, MMF covered mushroom, BC grass, fondant flowers and accents. I have seen many of these fairy cakes here on CC, don't know who to thank for the original design...but thanks!

6"/8"/10" round tiers with buttercream decorations. Topper is ceramic figures from the groom's mother. This one had to be taken apart and re-stacked just hours before the wedding. It almost ended up in the cake disasters forum!! Finally, when it was delivered and complete I was very pleased. Phew!!
Used the new impression mat and fondant press from wilton for this cake. Really like the crisp impression it gives. Not too fond of the colors, but it wasn't my choice. Fun to play around with, though.
I just got a tiny new pan that makes a tiered cake all in one. The bottom is approx 3", ther top approx 2". I just wanted to try it out...boy is it hard to ice a tiny cake when it is so light! It slid all over the place. I covered in in MMF because I couldn't get the BC smooth on such a tiny cake. Those of you who have...any suggestions??? I love the teeny tiny look...
French vanilla cake, bottom tier has raspberry filling, top tier has chocolate pudding filling. Iced in buttercream. Optimus Prime and Transformer logo were done with chocolate candy melts. I did the lettering and other decorations in buttercream. My son is so excited about his cake!!

Pretzel and candymelt trees with candymelt monkeys. Saw a similar picture on the internet. These were for my daughter's class on her birthday
10" and 6" round. Trees are pretzels with candy melt tops. Monkeys, leopard, and crocodile are candy melts. Chocolate rocks, waterfall is buttercream. Lots of fun making this with my daughter! Got the idea from many creative pictures in the gallery. Thanks for the inspiration!
A 10", 8", 6" round with scrollwork, bead border and fresh flower topper. One layer was French Vanilla with Chocolate Ganache filling, one layer was Spice Cake with Caramel filling, and one layer was Chocolate Fudge Cake with Chocolate Ganache filling. This was a very special cake for my mother's wedding.
16", 12", 8" rounds. French Vanilla cake, whipped chocolate ganache filling, vanilla Butterccream. This was for a very close friend's wedding.
9 inch double chocolate cake with chocolate filling and chocolate icing, topped with white chocolate strawberries.
Done for a kindergarten class on the last day of school. The turtle is 1/2 a sports ball pan and carved cupcakes for the head and flippers. Iced in buttercream with piping gel accents.
For my son's 4th birthday, all iced in white BC, then sprayed with Wilton's color spray. Great product! Got the deep red and blue without a yucky taste, no messy mixing, and no red and blue mouths at the party! Webs on the side of the cake were candy melts...(and very fragile! many of them broke)
