Shirt Cake 2Nd View Showing Box

This is a view of my first Shirt Cake that shows it from far away with box lid that I used to cover the cake with on the bottom as a prop. This was for my husband's 35th birthday.

Shirt Cake

Chocolate Cake, with Kahlua frosting, with Satin Ice fondant on the top. I put it in a real shirt box with real tissue paper and put the lid on it to suprise my husband. Thanks to the inspiration from the pictures here on CC.

Doll Cake

This is my 2nd doll cake, and this time with the advice of you CC ladies. This was a chocolate cake with white chocolate icing, with Satin Ice fondant painted with luster dust. The fondant was way harder to work with than I thought, but a second layer hid most of the imperfections. Thanks to a cake for Avery on CC where I got the idea of a banner with the name on it.

Same thing as my big Thomas cake, but a smaller scale for a separate, smaller family birthday party. I used the same tunnel from the bigger one. And a smaller Thomas The Train.

Firefighter Birthday Cake

This was derived from the WIlton cake named Three Alarm Celebration. I do not have the skill to make my own firemen at the moment, so I just used toys from the toybox. My Wilton instructor helped me make the lettering out of Royal Icing. I did everything else. :0)
