Katherine's Christening Cake
My stepdaughter wanted me to incorporate the lace from granddaughter?s Christening dress into the cake design. This was an opportunity to use Sugarveil icing for the first time while reproducing the lace. The cross was piped with RI and painted in gold. The color scheme was ivory, off white and gold. I was very happy with the final result and everybody liked the cake.

Suzanne's Baby Shower
Another colleague of mine is having a baby! :) The gender of the baby is not unveiled so that's why there is a lot of blue and pink on the cake. It was an 8 inch orange chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganashe. The bib and the rattle are made out of fondant mixed with some gun-tex powder.

Magda's Baby Shower
This was a cake for my stepdaughter?s baby shower. She let me to decide the design. I choose to make a replica of her childhood coin box. The coin box was considered lost, but I found it, clean and gave it to her together with the cake. Needles to say, she was trilled and more than happy. We don?t know the gender of the baby, so the main colors are blue and pink. The sides of the cake are panels made of fondant ? gum paste ? gum tex powder mixture. They were pretty solid, but still soft enough to be cut. Figurines and booties are made out of fondant ? gum tex mixture.

Baby Shower For Baby Cooper
We prepared a baby shower for our colleague at work. I volunteered to make a cake. It was a big hit. The most important is that the mother-to-be liked it very, very much. It was a yellow cake with raspberry Italian meringue butter cream, covered with fondant and the details made out of fondant. This was a perfect opportunity to make a little train using the tutorial provided by CC member Louise (thank you so much for that) look it up at her website.

Juicy Couture Bd
This was an interesting project. The BD girls parents were preparing a surprise party for her. Because she is a big fan of Juicy Couture stuff, they bought her a Juicy Couture Ceramic piggy bank in the shape of cake. My task was to incorporate the piggy bank into a real cake so the guests can give a small token in money instead presents. The money would go for her collage expenses. This is what I came up with. BD girl was more than trilled. She loved the cake very, very much.

Ilona's First Communion
This is one of my favorite cakes ever. Iâve started without any idea about the design and it came out very nice. The colors (white pearl and soft pink) were perfect and the whole cake looked like made out of mother of pearl. It was chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream, covered with fondant. Sparkling details are piping gel mixed with some disco dust.
