3 layer french vanilla with banana cream pudding and real banana slices topped off with cream cheese icing.
Made for an 87 year old man and a 74 year old woman home wedding. Royal icing roses dusted with silver luster dust. Royal icing apple blossoms. All iced in bc. After the wedding the coworker who purchased this told me that neither one had a wedding cake for their first weddings. I felt very specail to have made this for them.
This was for my best friend. I had to travel out of town to make and I was a nervous wreck. It all came together in the end though. The bottom layer was chocolate with cherry puree filling, carrot cake filled with cream cheese icing, and the top was just vanilla filled with bc. All iced in almond bc., with scroll work and silver dragees (which you can't see thanks to poor picture taking.) Purple ribbon and a cascade of fresh lilies and astromeria.
Final cake of class 2. Basketweave. This was the one that was supposed to have all the flowers and the birds, but I was using this as a birthday cake and I prefer the idea that less is more. I was really pleased with the outcome of this cake.
First cake of wilton class 3, brush embroidery, cornelli lace and an attempt at stringwork.

Just a plain jane cake but boy did it taste soooo good. French vanilla filled with bavarain cream and strawberry filling frosted with BC. Got rave reviews from everyone at work :p
My first sheet cake. I borrowed this idea fromTat. Chocolate devil food and yellow cake double layers filled with BC. Edible Diego image. Needs some work but overall I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Mother loved it which makes me feel good. Comments welcome and appreciated.
