Joint birthday cake for me and my brother. Wilton topsy-turvy pan and decorated sugar cookies. I like this pan because it's got the festive shape, but it's really just one cake batter. We just don't have enough people around to devour a real tiered cake on a regular basis! LOL :)
MMF, never did ribbon roses or "lace" before fun experiment. Happy Easter!
design from Wilton book about 10 years old. My first cake in almost a year. I've been busy. :)
This is for a shower for an expecting mom who is also moving from Pennsylvania to Illinois with her husband and 2 daughters.
My first paid cake! All buttercream...I just hope it stops snowing so people come to the shower tomorrow!
just a little celebration. Champagne cake w/ champagne icing was delicious. just simple decorations.
tried a random width striping effect for my brother's b-day cake. Should measure more carefully next time, not bad colors though.
Gold Navy anchor on Navy blue BC cake. Made for Army-Navy Football Game party. Used piping gel transfer technique from Course I
My first tiered cake for course 3. I couldn't bear to make all those fondant roses... and it's just the time of year for poinsettias.
so busy this class, I didn't get to add the border. i used the marshmallow recipe instead of packaged fondant. It tastes much better, but it didn't seem as stretchy as the packaged. need to play with recipe a little.
spring basket cake.
Birthday cake for my friends' daughter who likes airplanes. Her grandmother found the airplane candleholders. There is a 4th one that I attached to a bamboo skewer with floral clay. I'll add that one at the party tomorrow.
this is my second cake for the Wilton I course
My first one since I started the classes.
