I sat down with a class of 1st graders and we designed this Valentine's Day cake. Each student was given a paper heart that said, "Love Is..." and had to complete the sentence. The middle tier has excerpts from the finished "Love Is..." hearts. Hope you enjoy!

And for the record--this cake is not supposed to be 'pretty'. Anyone can make pretty cakes--but, I like to think outside the box.
