S & A Wedding Cake
My first wedding cake. Darn Good chocolate Cake, BC icing, made the diamond impressions with a ruler and a bamboo skewer, silver cachous (dragees) on the corners of the diamonds, 10 inch, 8 inch and 6 inch. Roses and leaves made from almond paste. Used the new crisco and couldn't keep the cake from weeping. Then didn't have a/c on at reception and was so sure I was gonna get a call that all the icing slid off. But Bride called three days later to say it was AMAZING!! So I'm happy.

Babyshower Cake
I got the idea from this site from all the awesome pea in the pod cakes. It is WASC with stabilized whipped cream mixed with (not too strong) raspberry conserve for filling, BC with raspberry conserve for side icing, and chocolate ganache with a little bit more raspberry for topping. Fondant/gumpaste mixture for peas and curls. The cake started falling apart on me but I think it looks alright. Hopefully it tastes alright. And if the mom-to-be likes it then nothing else matters. Thanks for looking

the cupcake (gluten free) bouquet I attempted for Mother's Day luncheon for our church and one of the four sheet cakes I did. I did two vanilla--one with chocolate BC and one with regular BC, I also did two chocolate--one with regular BC and one with Betty crocker RTS chocolate icing.

Another Castle Cake
This is my dd's 3rd birthday cake. It was inspired by the spooky castle in the Australian women's weekly cake cookbook. I know there's a lot wrong with it. Especially the leaning to the left. The little tower is supposed to be crooked though. Anyway, bottom is two layer white cake, middle is one layer chocolate cake and the tower is two jam rollettes. All BC icing, filling is peanut butter BC, decorated with chocolate covered biscuit fingers and toblerone.

40Th Birthday
Lady wanted cakes in the shape of 40. She said DH liked computers and fishing. This is what I came up with. Originally had a regular cake cut in shape of 0 but it fell apart so had to do cupcakes as there was only a couple hours until the party. I'm not happy with the gray BC. It went on nice and then got too crusty or something. First time molding anything. Part fondant part gumpaste. They were happy so I guess that's all that counts.

Dora
My first layered, stacked cake. First time to do anything with fondant. And first time to do chocolate transfers. I'm happy with it even though it isn't anywhere near perfect. Someday I'll get the courage to cover a cake in fondant. Oh, it is DD#1 4th birthday cake. Hope she likes it when she gets up tomorrow.

Mil Birthday Cake
I've been inspired by all the pirouette cakes here on CC. I decided to try one. It didn't turn out like how I wanted but I'm satisfied with it. The top layer is leaning. I used a chocolate cake mix and added cherry juice and cherry yogurt. I filled with sweetened cream and cherries. Then I iced it with Chocolate BC left over from another cake. Then topped it with chocolate covered cherries.

Topsy Turvy Cake
This was made with the topsy turvy Wilton pan. I love all the cakes here on CC with brown and pink colour combos and I love looking at all the whimsy, topsy turvy, madhatter cakes here too. So this is my really really simple version. I used a white cake mix with the cake extender recipe, Chocolate BC and regular BC.

Pumpkin Pie Cake
Thanks to Satin for the idea. My Aussie DH doesn't like the real thing so thought I'd try this. Chocolate cake with whipped cream icing. Thought it turned out cute but DH didn't know what it was when I showed him. He thought Pac-Man maybe. LOL!! Oh well, I thought it was cute. Although my cream dripped out the top of the decorating bag and left spots on the top.

1St Birthday Cake
I was trying to figure out what to do for the cake for my daughter's first birthday. I saw a cake like this on this website. It was exactly like the birthday decorations I had bought. So I copied the napkinds and the pictures from this website and this is what I came up with. I've only done a couple cakes so am still really new and don't know what i'm doing. But I really enjoy it.
