My Modern Wedding Cake
I had so much fun making this! Everyone thought I was crazy for making my own, but it was well worth it. Everything is fondant, except flower, which is gumpaste. I painted with Americolors and lusterdust mixed in lemon extract. I don't know who to credit the design to, I found a cake with the pleated design on Google Images. So I just took that idea and designed this cake around it. Thanks for looking!

Animal Crossings
Based on the video game "Animal Crossings." Had a blast with this cake! It was my first Topsy Turvy cake, and it wasn't near as hard as I had expected. The figures on top are made to look like each of my sisters, who have birthdays very close to each other. All fondant, with BC accents.

1St Wedding Cake
I finally got my first wedding cake under my belt :) I was soooo stressed over this one. I thought I'd NEVER get that frosting smooth (well not perfectly smooth, but my best). The topper took an incredible amount of time. I don't remember who ( I apologize), but I based this design from someone here on CC. Hers was much more well executed than this one, though. Thanks for looking! :)

Mario_Cake.jpg
For my 7yo cousin. He wanted Mario and Luigi, so I did this Super Mario World themed cake. I wish I knew how to make a photo collage so you could see all the sides of the cake, I made a "Level" all around the four sides. All buttercream, 2-layer 12" square with 6" round on top. Mario and Luigi are a FBCT. This one was fun! The whole time I made this cake, my family and I kept humming all the music from that game. Addicting! :)

Lydias_Castle_Cake.jpg
This was my sister's bday cake this year. Cinderella is her favorie princess, but there are 5 store-bought dolls on the cake (they're kind of hidden behind the towers, hard to see in this pic) This wa smy second time usin the romantic castle set from Wilton, and it was a better experience this time than the last time.

Treasure Chest
I made this cake for my class I teach at church. It's called Patch the Pirate Club, and has a nautical theme. It was so much fun to make! The necklace, banner, ring, crown, sword are made of fondant. The Bible is a fondant covered rice krispy treat. Store-bought foil covered chocolate coins, and "gold" bubble gum sacks. The lid is rice krispy treat also. Graham cracker crumbs for sand. Thanks to all who posted pics of their treasure chest cakes, for me to be inspired by!

Present Birthday Cake
My own birthday cake, 2 layer 9 inch Funfetti cake with rainbow chip frosting. My FAVORITE! All MMF decorations, I was going to have a fondant loop bow on top, but even though the loops were hung to dry out a week ago, they were still too soft, so they just collapsed on me. So, I just improvised and made this bow instead. This was my first time using Luster Dust, and I am in love with it. :D It is an encouragement though, that this cake is SUCH an improvement from last year's bday cake.
