I made an 8 inch cake and iced two large cupcakes on their sides to make snow globes.

Iced in buttercream icing. I like to use all icing on cakes if possible. Have done fondant characters before, but most seem to like the piped figures. Tore a piece of paper towel across in varying "hills" and laid it on the cake and took the canned color spray to make the clouds. Piped mod flowers, leaves, and grass all out of buttercream icing. Used the saying "Someone special, Someone dear, Baby Martinez is almost here!"
Half sheet cake iced in buttercream. Leaf patterns cut out of card stock and laid around on top of the cake and then used the canned color spray to make the leaf pattern. Piped black-eyed susans, pansies, mums, and roses out of fall colored buttercreams. Piped acorns using chocolate buttercream and fudge icing. Added fall sprinkles around the edges.
