Pleated Mishap
OK, so I wasn't going to post this photo because of the way the pleats look, but here goes. Unfortunately, someone decided to "help" me assemble the cake, and before I could stop them the pleats got mangled. It was pretty once ... . Accidents happen, and the bride was still happy with the cake. Lesson learned - NEVER leave your cake unattended!

Laura's Cake
The bride and groom actually designed this cake. The frosting is buttercream with purple buttercream details. The flowers are real. There's a story behind the flowers. The bride ordered extra flowers for the cake, but they turned out to be the wrong color. I ran off to the local grocery store to find something (anything!) that would complement the cake. It turned out great.

Banjo
This is a life-size banjo cake without strings. I used fondant everywhere except the frets (marking where the player puts her fingers), which are airbrushed spaghetti. I had a problem getting the frets to lie flat after I airbrushed them silver. If anyone has any other ideas on how I could have made edible frets, please let me know.
