What do you do with a chocolate cake!? Well, Santa worked. His beard was sotas, over and over, piled up. I used a number 3 for the hat - and just kind of ruffled it so it looked knitted. I am happy with this one.

Pale (Sky Blue Wilton) buttercream, white trim and cake sparkles accents. The snowflakes are freehand. I figured the snowball trim would be a good simple match.
It was a Devil's Food (DH) with chocolate icing. Filled with Chocolate oreo mousse filling. The flowers were dried buttercream that I'd made a while ago and stored. Oh, and my daughter insisted on doing the Happy Birthday. Only fair since it was her friend that the cake was intended for. :)
This was my final. I'm not entirely happy with it (who of us is!?) but I do like it. Everyone in the class seemed to like it.
Not a great effort because the roses are ruffly, but I found out that my 104 tip was damaged. I'm nutty, cuz I kinda like the effect.
This was my 15 year old's birthday cake this year. Each Flip flop had different fillings. It was marble cake cut out of an 11 x 15. The S on the heel and flowers matched her napkins.
