Punk Skull 21St Birthday
This was actually for a guy. They were having a luau themed party, hence the flower on the skull. The birthday boy loved it! He's into tattoo and that was the inspiration for the cake. This was extremely last minute, I would have loved to do more to incorporate the luau theme if I had time.

Bree's Garden
my friend saw a picture of the other cake I did like this and she wanted one for her daughter's birthday. 6" and 9" strawberry cake with buttercream and fondant accents. I was happy with how this one turned out. I was in a rush though so I could have leveled and smoothed the icing better, but it worked. My favorite is the little snail and worm.

First Attempt At Basketweave
This is my first attempt at a basket weave. I didn't use the normal tip, but used a round one instead. It looked pretty "rustic". This was just for fun and for family. It's strawberry cake with whipped buttercream icing. I tried to do a rope trim but it turned out a little pitifully. I need to actually watch someone do it instead of looking at pictures. Thanks for looking!

50Th Birthday Theme
10" and 8" done to match the paper goods for the party. Used a couple cakes from here for ideas and inspiration. Lots of issues with this one. Bottom cakes stuck to the pans so I had to rebake and then my bubble straws didn't settle all the way down into the cake so I had to fill in the gap with a larger bead boarder. This was done for a friend who was have a surprise party for her in-laws. They were all excited about how it turned out. I was just glad to get it finished. :)

Dana's 13Th Birthday Cake
I iced and decorated this cake for my son's nurse. She wanted me to help her decorate it for her daughter's 13th birthday. It was a quickie job, but everyone loved it. It was for a double party and the other mom bought a cake from a local bakery, but she kept raving about the icing on this one. I tried something new with the recipe and the icing turned out delish!

Marissa's Sweet 16 Topsy Turvy
This was my first attempt at a topsy turvy and a tiered cake. My cousin sent me a picture of a pink cake box cake that she loved and this was my attempt at it. I knew I'd never be able to make it as well as the original, and my fondant didn't cooperate for the bow, so used ribbon that I had on hand. The layers bulged on me because my cousin wanted whipped icing instead of my regular buttercream. Overall, I was pleased and it made the 30 minute drive to the party venue. All the kids loved it and commented on it all night.

Abby's Wizard Of Oz Cake
Made for my best friend's little girl for her 4th birthday. Emerald City and brick road are candy clay. I used green luster dust on the Emerald City. My friend added a rainbow behind it that she printed from the internet. Everyone loved it! This one was really easy and fun to decorate.

Evan's 1St Birthday
Cake I made for my son's 1st birthday. The bucket is 6" rounds carved to shape and covered in fondant. Sand is crushed animal crackers and brown sugar. Bucket is stacked on an 8" base. Ball made with the sports ball pan. And his smash cake is the little "pile" of sand. That was made using 4" layers carved and covered with the "sand". Everyone loved the cake. I wanted to do more with it, but I was just too tired. Ignore the bulging. :) Thanks for looking!

Nick's Graduation
I made this for my cousin's high school graduation party. This is the first cake I've decorated since my son's birthday cake (and accident) back in February. It's a little rough but overall, I think he'll like it. This was the first time I'd used the clay extruder and it was a little tricky to get the tassel done. The numbers were originally going to be carved but I wanted to make sure there would be enough servings. Bulldog is FBCT (my first). Thanks for looking! :)

My Son's Birthday Cake
This is my first big carved 3D cake. It is 7up pound cake with buttercream icing. I used a 9X13, cut down for the base and part of another one for the cab. The bed is made out of candy clay. I had a terrible time getting the icing to stick to the cake and smooth. It could use more detail. I was having a hard time piping so I decided to leave it alone so I wouldn't really mess it up. The "dirt" is cocoa krispies made with cocoa pebbles and choco marshmallows. The 2 is a cookie. Thanks for looking!

Construction Cookies
These are a few of the cookies I made for my son's 2nd birthday party. They are NFSC with Toba's glace and a dark chocolate cookie, also with Toba's glace. Not the best job and I couldn't find any pictures of other dump truck cookies so I just kind of freehanded it. The "2" and the construction cone were hand cut because I didn't have a cutter, so they are a bit rough. All in all, I think they turned out okay. But I think I'll invest in the cookie cutters next time. :) Thanks for looking!

Seth's 3Rd Birthday Cake
I wanted to make this cake for my nephew's 3rd birthday. He LOVES Thomas. This cake is going to be shipped to him in Oklahoma, so I hope that it makes it in one piece. It is covered in rolled buttercream and I used a decopac kit for the face and other decor. It's not the greatest, but my nephew won't care. :) Thanks for looking!

My 30Th Birthday Cake
I wanted to make a giant cupcake shaped cake and figured no better time to do so than my 30th birthday. I tried a new frosting and it turned out well after I tweaked it a bit. I used 2- 6in. layers and half of the sports ball pan and shaved down the sides. I think the next time I make this type of cake, I'll make it a little shorter. I took this to my stepdad's house for dinner and he ended up knocking the cake over in the box because it was so heavy, luckily I was able to fix it. Thanks for looking!

Mom's 50Th
This cake totally came out completely different than I had planned. I just didn't have time to do everything that I wanted to do, so this is what it ended up being. It just wasn't my day to decorate. Everything went wrong, but I managed to make it work. It's a 10" WASC with raspberry buttercream filling, fondant dots and 50/50 gumpaste "50". There was supposed to be a gumpaste bow, but it didn't want to come together for me either. Thanks for looking!

Rhonda's Birthday Cake
I made this for my Aunt's 40th birthday party. This was my first attempt at making candy clay which I used for the bow. This is also my first attempt at making a loopy bow. I used the tutorial here and at cakeboss.com. My piping could have been a lot better and I had a butterfly to add to the cake but it fell apart. Overall, it was okay. At least I got to practice the bow. Thanks for looking! :)

Bowling Birthday Cake
I made this for my cousin's birthday. The pin is 2 9X13 cakes stuck together and cut out using a template that I made. (I had about half of the second cake left over) Iced in buttercream with MMFstripe. The bowling ball was made using the sports ball pan and is covered in MMF. I cut the holes out using a piping tip and filled them in with bc. This was my first attempt at making MMF. This is only my 3rd decorated cake.
