This cake was for a child who was turning 7. She was having a princess party.
This was my first carved cake. It is a birthday cake for my husband. I had a lot of fun with this one. It is a ski slope, of which he was skiing down, when he lost his pants, took a spill and face planted with his skiis around a tree. The funniest part is that he is a really good skiier and this would never happen to him :)

The pic looks like the top is really unlevel. In person it didn't really look like that. The person who took the pic wasn't me :) Regardless, not my best work. I really hated this cake because it was all buttercream and of course it was 100+ degrees outside when I was making it, hence the fact that it could have been a little crooked/unlevel because it kept slipping! Suggestions and comments are welcome.

This was my first time using this tip and making these flowers and using buttercream instead of fondant. This is white cake with chocolate ganache filling and buttercream frosting. the customer wanted a very simple and not too girly cake for her friends birthday.

Baby shower cake. Top is 3 layer 6" rounds, chocolate cake with Andes mint chocolate buttercream frosting, bottom is 2 layer 8" rounds, kaluha yellow cake with kaluha raspberry whipped cream frosting.
I made this cake for a Thanksgiving order. She wanted something different that they could use as a centerpiece. The cake was a pumpkin spice with maple cinnamon buttercream.
This cake is my first wedding/anniversary cake. The couple I made it for was celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary but never had a wedding cake so their daughter asked me to create a wedding cake for them. The only specification she had was that the cake was supported by glass champagne glasses like hers was. It was a little bit of a challenge because the cake I was modeling after did not have a cake plate showing and they did not want a cake plate under the fondant.
This is a practice for a baby shower cake I am going to make in November... I am going to do the blanket in a different color, probably yellow, next time... Any other suggestions are appreciated...
Here is another view of the lattice cake... I had trouble getting the chocolate off the parchment paper without breaking it....
