Chocolate Mint
Chocolate cake & vanilla BC (both laced with creme de menthe), filled with a mixture of chocolate fudge sauce & chopped chocolate mint bar. Made for my MIL's birthday. My first attempt at cornelli lace, didn't work out as well as I hoped. I made the icing too thin and kept losing control of my lace (definitely need more practice on this). And I was going to have roses on this one, but roses just weren't happening for me this time :(. On a happier note, this cake tasted soooooooo good!

Jill's Fairy
Made this for my good friend's birthday party (she has a fairy collection hanging out in her china cabinet, I thought it would be appropriate). The fairy is made out of gumpaste, the rest of the cake iced in BC. Top is airbrushed green. First time working with gumpaste, I added too much icing sugar and my fairy had wrinkly arms when she dried :).

Eyeball Brew
My very first attempt at a fondant-covered cake, made for a Halloween party this past week-end. The cake was baked in a large, oven-proof bowl, using a heating core. Covered in grey rolled fondant, the "brew" is green buttercream. Eyeballs are fondant, bones are meringue cookies, spiders, worms and teeth are gummies.
