Halloween
This sets on a 36"X36" board, to give you an idea of it's size. We built the cake board so that we had a dowel coming up the back of the jack-o-lantern to support the spider cake. Jack-o-lantern was carved styro all the way up to the lid and the ghost was carved stryo. The spider was cake and the lid of jack was cake. The stems and leaves were fondue dried hard. I had a candle in the middle that luminated the cutouts and the Grandkids just loved it!

Pirate Wedding Ship
My daughter wanted a pirate wedding, this is the cake idea we came up with. The main base was styrofoam with a cake layer on top. The sails were gum paste, cut, layed out, and dried hard. The masts were dowels covered with thined royal icing until it dried, then everything was assembled together at the wedding. If you need any ideas for a pirate wedding, we came up with alot of them.
