Pink & Brown
My first wedding cake made for my brother-in-law's wedding. The cake looked so beautiful and I am so proud of it. Tiers are 12", 8" & 6" all covered in white chocolate fondant. Gumpaste bow painted with orchid pink lusterdust. Flowers painted with super pearl luster dust. Scroll work is chocolate buttercream.

Sesame Street
I made this cake for my niece's first birthday based on the invitations. The characters are a frozen buttercream transfer and I then went over them again with different tips for a 3D effect. The top layer of the cake itself turned out to be a disaster. The entire layer crumbled when I put it on the bottom layer. It was late and (luckily) just for my sister so I managed to cram all of the cake pieces together and carefully iced the top so you couldn't tell once it was iced and complete. It looked fine!

40Th Anniversary
Customer wanted a two-tier (10" and 6") based on a similar cake that I have done previously and then a second 8" cake. Cakes are covered in white chocolate fondant and flowers and leaves are made with fondant. Leaves are dusted with silver sparkle dust. Ruffle is buttercream. I also dusted the message on the 8" cake with silver sparkle dust but remembered to do this after this picture was taken. 40 topper is white chocolate.

Garden Fairies
Cake is buttercream with fondant flowers. Customer supplied the ceramic fairy toppers. I got the idea from another fairy cake on this site (much better than mine!). Lesson learned, the fairies sat perfectly on the table but kept falling over on the cake because it was not a hard surface. I had to sink them both a bit into the cake. It still looked okay.

All buttercream, logo is a FBCT. I hand carved the tee shirt shape from an 11x15 pan. The next day the grey icing turned a light purple colour, I was not thrilled. Luckily this cake was for a friend and she understood, the 10 year old was just thrilled and didn't even notice the colour!

Wiggly World
I made this cake for my son's 2nd birthday. He loves the Wiggles and talked for weeks about wanting a Wiggles cake. He loved it!! I used the sports ball pan for the wiggly world. The big red car is plastic. Dorothy, wags, captain feathersword and Henry are chocolate. This was my first attempt at the chocolate and they turned out pretty good for my first stab at it. My son had fun eating them!

General Lee
I used the 3D cruiser pan on a single 9x13 layer. I had to carve the car slightly so it didn't look so round and I added some extra cake to the back of the car to make it longer. Everything is buttercream. I used tip 233 for the grass and graham crumbs for the sand. The rocks are covered chocolate (purchased not made by me).

1972 Movies
My friend hosted a party to celebrate everyone turning 35 this year. She loves movies & popcorn so I came up with this idea and found a list of #1 movies in 1972 and wrote the titles on the outside. Most of the movies we had never heard of but it was a fun theme. Cake is all buttercream and the popcorn is marshmallows. I wish I had only put the "popcorn" along the bottom of the cake, I think it was too much on the top. But once I had placed them on the top it would have wrecked my border to remove them
