I used 3 different sizes of daisy cutters with neon orange, pink and yellow fondant and glued them to their sticks using buttercream icing. This is my take on the Wilton Curly Bow cake that's in the Celebrate with Fondant book. After looking through several of my books, my friend's 3 year old daughter had to have this one for her birthday. I did not cover the cake in fondant, but buttercream.
10x10 square cake, red velvet with white buttercream. The poinsettias are made from royal icing. The center looks kind of bare, but I knew my writing would mess it up if I wrote anything in it.
I made 4 dozen of these cookies this week. One of my good friends has adopted a baby from Guatamala and the christening is this weekend. They were using glass ornaments with snowflakes on them on the tables at their reception. I used the no fail sugar cookie recipe and royal icing. Only the "lines" have been coated with sanding sugar.
