My attempt at the Whimsicle Bakehouse's "winter wonderland" cake. Didn't quite turn out like I had hoped but I still think it's cute. Italian Cream Cake with cream cheese icing.
I made these for the ladies in my office. I'm going to give each one a dozen cake balls each in little mini cupcake paper packaged in a leapard print chinese take out box with red and green ribbon tied on top. These are chocolate chocolate chip cake dipped in Baker's milk chocolate.

Satinice fondant with red, yellow and orange fondant roses. Top cake is chocolate fudge cake and bottom is yellow pound cake. What a fun cake this was! A lot of work though.

We didn't have time in class to put the flowers on or the border actually. I used MMF for the cake covering and wilton fondant for the bow since I figured that no one would eat the bow anyway.
I couldn't figure out how to make the argyle pattern so down on two sides of the cake so I put the fleur de lis on two sides lol.
I made this for a girl at work. My first time working with fondant (as I'm sure you can tell). Also my first square cake. I learned a lot from this one though so hopefully the next will be better.
My first attempt at the NFSC recipe with Antonia's icing. These took me forever, I don't think I'll be doing them again.

My final cake for course 1. I'm not that happy with it but at least I know I'll never have to do a bow again!
Icing was a little too thin so the cake is kinda messy looking. Still trying to get that shell border, it's definitely harder than it looks!
I made this cake for my father in law, it didn't turn out anything like I wanted it to but he really liked it. The border is kind of crooked and the chocolate buttercream could have been more chocolatey. The cake was a butter cake (with caramel coffee creamer added with a blackberry cream cheese mousse filling.
My first cake for the Wilton Classes. As you can see, my icing writing needs some SERIOUS help. Cake stamps here I come.
