1st cake i've done in over 2years. went better than I expected....not as bad as it could have...lol
Wife ordered this as surprise for her husband. His favorite thing to do is relax at the beach. Covered in fondant w/chocolate shells. Chairs were bought by the wife and the fence is made out of popsicle sticks. The grass was cut from some silk flower arrangements. TFL!
My version of the hamburger cakes I've seen from here at CC. All fondant! I think my bun turned out a bit big and my burger too small...but otherwise happy w/it! TFL!
This was done for a guy getting his wings and looks 'similar' to the copter he'll being flying. Should have added some clouds or something...but too late for that now! TFL!
Cake is covered in fondant and then spryed w/luster dust. Ice is rock candy and bottles are made out of sugar. lables are edible images. Inspired by so many awesome beer cakes from CC!

Each tier is wrapped in white chocolate w/chocolate swirls. Truffles around the edge of the cake are filled choco ganache. I sprinkled white choco shavings between the choco wraps to cover the buttercream. Inspired by a cake I saw on the net...but remember where.
My entry for a You're Invited Cake Comp today. I won Best of Show, 1st Place in the Professional Division, & the People's Choice Award!! I was so excited! All butterflies, flowers, and vase are made out of gumpaste. It's hard to tell in pic, but little flowers and butterflies have glitter have on them. This cake was ALOT of work, but in the end it paid off! Although I don't want to make anymore roses for a very long time!
This was for one of my friend's little girl. She wanted a jungle cake and was having a huge blow up waterslide. So I thought I'd put in a waterfall for her!! TFL!
One of my fav. cakes recently!! They wanted a baby shower cake, but didn't want it to be too 'babyish'!??! Her theme is pink & black. Covered in fondant w/fondant decos. I think this was orginally a sarahcakes desgin. TFL!

This was actually a christmas party cake! My husband's boss throws a Gambling/Vegas night at their house for their annual christmas party. Lots of fun and the boss funds the whole thing! So I wanted to make sure they had a great cake!! Covered in fondant w/edible images. TFL!
Was told the birthday girl collects shoes and her fav. color is pink. So of course I had make sure she got what she wanted!! Covered in fondant w/patchwork cutter shoes & purses. Thanks to Nati for her wonderful directions on making shoes!! TFL!
Another one similar to the Yankees. At first I couldn't understand the mom's request for a Gators BASEBALL cake! It took me two days before my husband explained that the UF ALSO had a baseball team!! Duh!! Boy did I feel like a retard!! :) TFL!!

This was inspired by Sugar Creations. The mom didn't want to change much about it, except she wanted it all in BC w/fondant decorations. I think it would have been better in fondant, but oh well. This pic kinda sucks b/c I had left my digital camera somewhere and had to take this w/my 35mm!

This was inspired by a cake the bride found on the net. Iced in BC w/choco & fondant shells. I had sooo many problems putting this cake together.....so my BC looks a little worn. But overall i'm pretty happy with it.

I learned how to make the daffodils in a Nicholas Lodge class I took in St. Louis last week. The cake was inspired by one of boween's...i loved all her little critters. daffodils are made out of gumpaste. This was for my friend's mom...they both loved it! TFL!

this was inspired by a cake from Leda's Bake Shop. All I was told was the cake was for a guy's birthday...I thought this was a nice simple cake for guy. TFL!
I got 3rd in the Advanced/Professional Divison for this entry!! I was pretty excited, esp since the final product turned out to be a complete accident! It turned out NOTHGING like I had orginally planned. But in the end I am extremely happy with it! I just love cherry blossoms and some of prettiest scenery in the movie is when they are standing under the cherry blossom trees. All fondant/gumpaste and the colors of the cake were airbrushed and the cherry blossoms were painted w/luster dust.
