This is an over the hill cake with all of the birthday girl's favorites included. Her leg with a running shoe is coming out of the casket, her dog, her favorite UFC magazine, her employer's hat, and the license plates from Urban Cowboy, which is apparently her favorite movie. Her favorite food is banana bread, so I came up with a banana nut cake that she LOVED! It's my new favorite, too.
This was an inside joke for a girl nicknamed Lumberjack. The plaid covered board was part of the package. It's a vanilla and chocolate fudge swirled cake with buttercream filling/icing. The decorations are MMF and gumpaste. The syrup is tinted piping gel

I tried to cut corners and make the lid from gumpaste with no base and it backfired. It's really sucktacular. lol The client sent me a picture of the shoe and box without credit, so if it came from someone on here, my apologies.

This shows half of the cupcakes. There were 4 dozen in all. The top is white cake with strawberry puree and white chocolate mousse filling. The cupcakes are chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Elmo's head is rice krispy treats. I hated poor little Elmo by the end of this! lol

Bottom tier is 12" square - lemon with strawberry puree filling. Top tier is 9" white cake with raspberry puree, white chocolate mousse, raspberry puree layers. All covered in buttercream. The second cake is red velvet with cream cheese icing. There were a dozen red velvet cupcakes, too. The bow is hideous, but it just wouldn't cooperate. I'm working on that. lol

The bottom tier is whilte cake with buttercream icing/filling. The top is strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream icing/filling. The decorations are fondant and the tiara is gumpaste. I can't wait to make a tiara I like! lol I attempted gold lustre on the tiara. Um, it didn't work. It's just a splotchy yellow mess. I'll need to work on that.
Orange and Vanilla Cupcakes with buttercream icing and royal icing hearts. My husband built me this tower out of plywood, pvc pipe and some type of bolt running up the center. I covered it in bridal wrapping paper and trimmed it out with coordinating ribbon. It comes apart for storage and allows me to change the theme everytime. Her wedding is orange and cream.
Butter cake with buttercream icing. I copied the Bulls' away game jersey, replacing iwth my client's name and age. It's really boring, but what else can you do with a jersey? I wanted to keep it as authentic as possible.
