First attempt after reading several "how-to" articles
French Vanilla cake, torted with Strawberry cream. BC with gumpaste roses. This was my first attempt at scroll work.
Banana cake, torted and filled with strawberry and pineapple filling. Iced in chocolate BC covered in dark chocolate ganache. TFL
This was for my son's 7th Birthday - all BC - "ramp" is RKT with grahm cracker crumbs for dirt. My son loves anything military and was so excited with the cake he didn't want me to cut it. TFL
This was the first cake I've made for anyone other than family, and the first time I attempted a square cake. All BC with half WASC/half chocolate with cookies&cream filling. Inspired by the wonderful images by cakery. TFL
Here is the final cake from my Wilton Course 1 - the first time making roses
For my son's 10th birthday. White cake with buttercream. Players are minature reese's cups and kisses, with my son's initials and jersey number on the one for his position. End zone has his pee-wee team's name. He was very excited, and took a picture of the cake to his next preactice to show his team/coaches.
For Dad's surprise 60th B-day party. This was my first cake, not perfect , but Dad loved it. Chocolate with Raspberry/White Chocolate Mousse and buttercream. Leaves are MMF and buckeyes are real p.butter/chocolate candy
