This is a cake for a small wedding. The top tier is a 4 inch cake, the next are 6 and 8 inch cakes. The butterflies and ruffle were hand cut and painted from gumpaste. Used royal icing to attach butterflies to cake.
Three tiered fondant wedding cake. Silver ribbon is store bought as well as tiny black bow on the front of each tier. Flowers are fresh. Each tier is 3 layers of cake (two tiers are pumpkin and the other red velvet)
This is a 3 tiered buttercream cake. Fresh flowers. The color on the side of the cake was airbrushed on in shades or peach and coral. The custom made topper was ordered by the couple.

Thanks to Lava Cakes for the inspiration for the cake. The new mommy and daddy to be are surfers! The strawberry mousse inside the cake has settled a bit, thus the bulge on the right side. They could have cared less! LOL

This monkey was on her invitation. Actually so were the trees and polka dots. She wanted a cake that looked like her invitation. Cake is air brushed then I put another panel of fondant on top for the crème colored square. All décor hand cut from fondant.

Baby shower cake. First attempt at making cakes look like books. It wasn't as hard as I thought. I used frosting sheets for the writing because she wanted a LOT of writing on these. Cut out letters never would have fit with the size cakes she ordered.
6 inch cake covered in fondant. Umbrella is gumpaste as well as wood sign. I was inspired by another CC artist to do this cake, cant think of her name at the moment, but thanks for the inspiration. This was for a beach themed wedding, cupcakes below the cake. Umbrellas on side of cake were cut from fondant and accented by hand painting.

Mardi Gras Sweet 16. My first topsy-turvy cake. Next time I wont add extra cake to the high side. I prefer a straight slope instead of a curved one but the customer was very happy. The mask and peacock feathers were bought at a craft store.
Got these little cupcake papers from a large home goods store. They are actually sized to fit a pop-over pan and that's what they were baked in. vanilla cake, buttercream icing and star is fondant.
P is for the baby's name, Presley. the pink and white pattern on top is printed on a frosting sheet and put on a fondant cutout using a garrett frill cutter. ribbon is cloth. polka dots and baby feet are fondant. Fondant is dyed using a tiny amount of brown food coloring and then airbrushed with pearl sheen.
Bottom is 8 inch round, top is 4 inch pan. Letters, flowers, and pom-pon on top are fondant, as is the baby bottle on a piece of wire coming out of the top. Pink dots are airbrushed.
