Work Boot
This cake was for my husband's birthday. It was my first attempt at carving a cake and also making chocolate clay to cover one in. The laces are real boot laces. I made the toe to look like his boots always do. lol Thanks to everyone for their help especially Price for the wonderful pictures.

Daisy Cupcakes
This cake was done for my daughter's birthday last month. It was a cake of many firsts. The daisies are my first attempt( and quite possibly my last) at gumpaste flowers. It was also my first attempt at making a cupcake tree. Using the great ideas on here I decided to use clay flower pots between the layers in order to keep with the whole spring theme and they provided great stability as well. I placed a dowel rod through the holes in the bottoms of the pots and through the cardboard cake boards. The picket fence was purchased from a craft website. She loved it and that is what matters.

Duct Tape
This is my first attempt at a Duct Tape cake. I removed the crumbs from the middle before the birthday boy saw it. Thanks to dawnbakescakes for her inspiration in design. I baked the cake in a 8" round 3" high. For the hole in the middle I baked a glass custard cup with the cake. The middle is an actual center of a duct tape roll.

Castle Cake
First attempt at a castle cake. Thanks to everyone on CC who is willing to share. It melted and shifted some in the hot Oklahoma sun(103). But the birthday girl still loved it. I baked cake in the ice cream cones to give them more weight. And the sugar cones were dipped in candy melts then sprinkled.(they too melted)

Cupcakes For Susie's Children
A friend's sister-in-law has battled cancer of and on for three years and was recently hospitalized. There is nothing medically that can be done except supportive measures and pain control. She is now home with hospice support. This is a very difficult time for the three children Alex age 11, Joey 9 and Kirah 4. So I made these cupcakes for the children hoping to give them some little something to smile about.
