A couple of my friends got married in Jamaica and then had a reception when they got back. I tried to give them a tropical feeling cake. It had seashells, real flowers, and strawberry filling.
This cake was an adventure. I had originally set out to have all small blocks stacked up, but ran out of time and embarked on the big block to stack them on. I was pleased how it turned out. I think it gives good balance to the cake.
I did this cake for a baby shower, but I thought it easily could be used for birthdays as well.

I wish I would have gotten a pic of the sides of this cake. It was really cute. It had garland swoops and lace with flower under. My flowers are made of white chocolate melts.
