This photo is of a wedding cake that I made for a friend last April. She described daisies and white fence for her wedding theme so I came up with this for her wedding cake. This is the unfinished product, I did not have the top tier made at the time I took the pic. I unfortunately forgot my camera after loading all the cake and pieces into to car and I had to drive it to the wedding. I still have to get photos from her photographer of the finished cake.
This cake took me four hours to pipe out! I was shocked at the amount of time that I spent on it. My mother requested a turkey cake for Thanksgiving and she was amazed.
Shamrocks are popular this year for some reason. I had to improvise on this cake since I did not have a shamrock pan and I did not want to order one online for this birthday cake. I made the shamrock from my mini heart pan using three hearts and I used tip 104 and 2 to make the small shamrock right on the cake.
I did this cake for practice on tiering and making roses.
Grandpa Dobie has been a baker and a cook his entire life. For his birthday the family suggested that I make a cake to reflect what he has enjoyed doing all of these years.
I made this cake for our annual Cake Auction for the Humane Society. It was so much fun!
