Rock The Cradle
Made for a baby shower. Covered in fondant and then brushed with metallic luster dust. Roses made from fondant, similar to those made with fabric ribbons. Baby onsie is also fondant. Baby booties are actually booties and not decorations. For more details, go to http://thecakecow.blogspot.com/2009/09/rock-cradle.html

Mack Trailer From Lightning Mcqueen
I thought this cake was a failure because I wasn't able to include the truck's hat but the client and her son loved it and it remains one of my most popular. Truck bed is made from an extra long loaf pan, with the cab constructed from a regular loaf, sliced and stacked to the proper shape. Covered in fondant, the details are mostly buttercream, with gray accents also fondant.

Dino Island
Made this for a dinosaur obsessed birthday boy. He didn't want to cut the cake; just want to keep playing with the dinos on top. Dark chocolate cake with buttercream, pretzel trees, and candy rocks. Dinos are plastic toys. For more details, go to http://thecakecow.blogspot.com/2009/04/dinosaur-island.html

Here Kitty, Kitty
This was one of those cakes that I just hated to give to the birthday girl because I knew it would be cut up and eaten. I used a new style of marbled cake and the client loved it. Cake is covered in buttercream with fondant and MMF details. For more, go to http://thecakecow.blogspot.com/2010/05/here-kitty-kitty.html

Beaver Cake
Definitely one of my most popular cakes - not to order, but to talk about. :) Dark chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. The teeth are buttercream, too, but you could use mini marshmallows, too. I used a round and an oval pan for the body and tail, with a mini wonder mold as the head.

Dirt Bike Mountain
I made this cake after the client showed me a picture of a FamilyFun.com cake. Went together really fast because most of the decorations were pre-made. Dark chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. Pretzels and fruit leather details with cereal and donut holes. For more, go to http://thecakecow.blogspot.com/2010/11/dirt-bike.html

Xtreme Mountain
This cake was for a birthday. Bottom cake is dark chocolate, covered in graham crumbs, the mountain is vanilla cake. Trees are sugar cones, rocks are candies, and snowman is fondant. And I am not nearly skilled enough to make those motor toys out of fondant or gum paste so they are plastic toys.

Hershey's Nascar
I had an order for a cake that combined the birthday boy's two biggest loves: NASCAR and Hershey's kisses. Using pictures of his favorite toy car, I tried my best with buttercream. I used metallic luster dust on the front hood kiss. Rear spoiler is made from cardboard, frosted, and attached with toothpicks. Extra tire is for the birthday candle.

Python Cake
I made this for a reptile-themed cake. It's made with bundt cakes cut in half and lined up but then carved for shape and covered in buttercream. Inside cake is marbled vanilla, chocolate, and moss green (colored, not flavored LOL). For more details, go to http://thecakecow.blogspot.com/2010/09/python.html

Thomas The Tank Engine
My first version of this cake -- well, let's just say that it was a learning experience. This one turned out much better. Mostly buttercream with a fondant face (that took me waaaaaaaaay too long to sculpt). For more detail, go to http://thecakecow.blogspot.com/2007/07/thomas-tank-engine.html

Pirate Treasure Map
I made this for a charity event with a pirate theme. It went for twice what I would have charged for it?so maybe I need to up my price! :) Mostly buttercream, with pretzel trees, graham crumbs sand, paper sails, chocolate coins, and decorator gel water.
