Farwell Party Cake
This cake is iced in BC. I traced around my small oval pan on a sheet of paper and cut it out. The I laid the oval paper on the center of the cake and sprayed pink Wilton Color Mist on cake. When paper was removed, it left a nice white oval for writing. The daisies are fondant and I painted them with pearl dust. This was my first try with fondant flowers. I had a lot of fun with it.

Baby Shower
This is a half sheet cake with buttercream icing. The flowers are made with royal icing and I striped the bag for the daisies. The oval design around the daisy is not very straight, but now I trace my small oval pan, cut out the paper oval and lay it on cake. Then I decorate around the paper and it makes a perfect oval outline. The writing was royal icing and when I made a mistake, it dried and I picked it right up without a mess.

Western Bridal Shower
This was made for a friend who was having a western theme for her wedding. Her bouquets were Sunflowers, so I tried to stay along those lines. I found a picture of a cake with a cowboy hat on one of the CC galleries and my husband drew the outline on the cake with a toothpick. I traced it with size 3 tip and filled it in with star tip. Silk sunflowers on corners.

Graduation Cake 2007
This was the first cake that I was asked to make after finishing my cake class. I had a terrible time figuring out what size was considered a full sheet cake. Some people told me 12 by 18. Other people told me to put two 11 by 15 cakes together, so that is what I did. It was huge!! 22 by 30 to be exact. I also had a hard time getting the icing to look RED. I used almost a whole bottle of icing color, because it looked pink at first. I spent 3 times the amount of money that I made on that cake.
