Holly & Lace cake I made for a church dinner. Experimenting with different decorating techniques, first time using the lace. Piped the holly by hand with icing, then filled in between with the lace.
Here's my attempt/version of the Noah's ark baby shower cake I made for a shower last weekend. I don't have the oval pan set or the football pan, so I just used rectangle cakes for the base, and small oval pans for the boat base, stacked and cut to shape. I made the animals with royal icing. What fun! :)
I made this cake for a church potluck this past Sunday. Still doing them just for practice.. :) LOTS of things to improve on, but I'm learning as I go! Can't wait to take a class sometime after Christmas! :)

First MMF cake, first topsy turvy cake. Quite happy with the results! :)
My son requested a penguin cake for his 3rd birthday. I made it from two rectangle cakes cut to shape. Covered it in vanilla and chocolate icing using a star tip. He loved it! :)
