Tree stump with bird nest and bird with eggs. You can't see a second bird on the side of the tree, the pictures were too blurry. The blackberries and raspberries are candies I bought from a local candy store. The birds are fondant and hand painted.

Chocolate fudge cake with different fillings for each tier - chocolate mousse, vanilla mousse, raspberry buttercream and strawberry buttercream. Sizes are 12, 10, 8, 6. Not bad for my first wedding cake.
Well, I don't remember if I found a pic of this cake on here or the web, but I saved it and couldn't wait to make it. I think it came out great. It's yellow cake with strawberry mousse filling and buttercream icing. All decorations are fondant.
This was for a small wedding of about 40 people. The bride and groom are the outdoors type and they love winter, so they wanted a winter theme with the deer representing them. The bottom left is a small tree stump that has their initials carved in it. The picture isn't the greatest but the snow and trees all sparkled. The little pond is a lot lighter than in the picture as well.
Chocolate cake with french vanilla pudding filling. 9 inch rounds - 3 on bottom, 1 on top. Fondant bow and decoartions. This was a challenge and there is plenty I'd love to fix on it, but I think it wasn't bad for a first try.

Learned these in class with Toba Garrett (gee am I bragging, lol..) the class was great, I suggest it to anyone. The marzipan is made from scratch and dusted with petal dust for more life-like color.
Here is yellow cake with amaretto mocha icing, topped with a hand molded chocolate plastique rose! I learned a ton in Toba Garrett's class. I can't wait to take another! Sorry not the best pic, but wanted to get a close-up of the rose.

My first tiered cake. I can't believe it. I loved my classes so much and am so proud of myself! Yellow cake on top with straberry filling, chocolate on the bottom with cookies and cream filling!!
We decided to make mini wedding cakes for each table for centerpieces and killed two birds with one stone! White cake with strawberry, french vanilla cream filling! They were a hit!

What fun it was to make this cake. I didn't wait long enough in between letting the color dry, but it looks like it was basted all day long, lol!! I made it for 2 coworkers b-days tomorrow! I hope they like it!
Ok, so here's a lot of firsts on this cake - first stacking, first use of real ribbon, and first use of candy melts for the writing!! It was yellow on the bottom and chocolate on the top with cheesecake filling!! I used the premade Philadelphia filling and it was great! One tub filled this whole cake and boy was it wonderful!
Ok...so I made this one pretty late at night and did the wrong thing with the stems of the roses and the bow (didn't realize they were supposed to be together) but it came out ok for a first shot at roses, lol!!
Ok, so I don't learn this technique until this Friday, but was anxious to try it. I know now that I need to learn to space it - oh, and leveling the cake on top wouldn't hurt, lol!! Oh well, it's a good start to fundamentals!
Well, I've read so much here, so I thought I'd give it a shot, I wasn't even sure what I was doing, but didn't think it turned out too bad! It was just a practice cake and the fam always loves those!
