Angry Birds, copied from Craise79 because my son wanted his cake exactly like "that". Thanks for the inspiration. Sorry I rushed it and don't have it smooth.
Black Belt Cookies
Thanks to Yolaanda and Cookiecreations for the idea. Made for a girls testing day for her balck belt in Tae Kwon Do. Royal icing.
My 3-year-old wanted to make these for father's day, and he did a great job! Thanks to Betty Crocker and fellow CC'ers for the idea. I never realized that the BC cookbook I had as a kid had them in it until I browsed through it recently.
This is a bad replication of the cakes I've seen here (thanks Peeg). It was worth trying though. Thanks for looking
After dipping all those darn oreos in white chocolate, I THEN found the white fudge oreos at Target after looking for them everywhere. I had fun with these but next time might break the almonds off a little before giving the mice Dumbo ears. :)
Aine2 Holiday Cake "attempt"
This is my attempt at the holiday contest cake by Aine2 in the gallery. Unfortunately, I never got to get a pic of them with their halos or faces on because I smooshed them as I put the cake in the cake saver and it broke their halos (that I made so carefully!!) and messed up their hair and faces. It was among my first times trying to make fondant figures. Heads are candy clay and hair is BC. I need practice painting with luster dust, but overall I was still sort of happy with it before the big smoosh!
Taken from the 2006 wilton yearbook. Made the suckers from candy melts, trees from pretzel sticks and royal icing. Huge hit for party at Jungle-themed playplace.
Inspired by many, but I credit mommyandlovinit and alwayscake because they are in my favorites. Fondant baby on buttercream. I am improving, but still need practice. Thank you for looking.
Sweetest Day Cake
Chocolate on Chocolate...made for a co-worker's daughter for Sweetest Day by request. Chocolate heart and royal chick in center.
Gumpaste Class Final Cake
I found out from using the WIlton yellow canned color spray, that it's the perfect color if you're doing a Curious George cake...Ha! Too bad this wasn't the Man in the Yellow Hat. :)
Baby Jesse Cake
Inspired by angiescakes who was inspired by other CC'ers. Not nearly as good as any of them, but thanks for looking.
Final Class 2 Cake
My very first attempt at a tiered cake. Took pic with camera phone, sorry it's so bad!
It's A Girl!
Baby on cake. I was inspired by several CC'ers so I am not sure which person was the first one to do these types of cakes. It's not a great attempt, but my first time making a figure of any kind. Thanks for looking. This was how we told our parents the sex of our baby-to-be.
40Th Birthday Cake
Made for a co-worker as a surprise. She loves ladybugs. Inspired from old Wilton yearbook.
Shirt Cake For Fil
Very 1st time making this. Only 2nd time working with fondant (first one in class). I know, there are lots of mistakes, be gentle, please.
