I made this for an adult birthday party. The ship is vanilla sponge cake with almond icing. The outside of the ship is fondant. I hand painted the ship to look like wood. The steering wheel, mini barrels, cannon, and cannon balls are fondant The sails and netting are made out of sugar veil. The Island is cake with graham cracked sand with chocolate rocks . The tresure chest is fondant with isomalt jewels and fondant pearls. The water is royal icing. I really had alot of fun doing the ship even though it took me three entire days to make.
