Dogs Birthday Cake
All buttercream except the ears on the brown dog are gumpaste with buttercream piped onto the back. I used a fork and paintbrush to get some of the effects for the dogs' hair and faces, as well as a toothpick for the details. I started with the stand up lamb pan from Wilton and did some carving.

Ariel Birthday Cake
Used Wilton Ariel pan on top of a 14" round. All buttercream except for her skin is fondant. Thanks to a CCer for that idea. Shells and white, pink and brown chocolate. Little ocean animals - turtles, starfish, and seahorses are fondant. Sand is graham cracker crumbs. This was a really fun cake to make.

Baby Booties Shower Cake
Three tiers (each a 2 inch layer torted and filled) with half fondant/half gumpaste combined to make draped blanket. All flowers are fondant w/ buttercream dot centers. Booties are made with half fondant/half gumpaste mix also (thanks to CCer for pattern!). Teddybear and duck are fondant pressed into candy molds. Used buttercream for beaded border.

A Runner's Birthday
Almost all buttercream, this was my first attempt at a buttercream transfer. I am pretty happy with the result. The cake was hazelnut so I used toasted hazelnuts to decorate the sides and on the top representing pebbles. The little character is the logo of the gentleman's local running club.
