Strawberry Shortcake Princess Theme
This is the cake I did for my daughter's 2nd birthday. We had a Strawberry Shortcake Princess party and nearly every aspect of this cake was inspired from the invitation. 10, 8 and 6 inch layers covered in MMF. Tiara is a plastic tiara and ribbon is real ribbon. Garland swags, strawberries and pearls all MMF with the exception of the pearls on the middle layer that were purchased edible pearls. Swirls on top layer are royal icing. A lot of planning and work, but I was SO happy with this cake....

Nathanael's Dino
Based on a Wilton design. Wonder mold body, mini ball head and carved cake for the tail and legs/feet (this is my first carving attempt....need some practice, but I liked it better than their idea of using marshmallows for the tail and just icing for the legs/feet). Fondant spots, facial features and toenails and buttercream icing for the rest. My four-year old was happy!

Anniversary Cakes
Cakes my sister and I did for my parent's anniversary. The pink cake is german chocolate and the brown cake is chocolate. Hershey kisses around the base (thanks to my sil for that idea). My first attempt at scroll work without a press. The small cakes are fondant covered and my sister used a stencil and pink sugar to make the adorable hearts on top. Lot of fun working with my lil sis!

Vbs Cookies
I tried to make our logo, but no luck, it just wasn't clear enough. So.....since our fist day of Vacation Bible School dealt with the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000, I made fish cookies in the colors for VBS this week (pink, turquoise and brown). Then just some little letter cookies. FUN!

Father's Day Gift
These were all fondant covered cakes that I let my children decorate with food writers. The top left was by my 5 year old son, top right my almost 4 year old son and the bottom by my 21 month old daughter who kept poking the marker thru the cake! Lots of fun and daddy loved them....a card you can eat!

Duck Cake
Thanks jennycakes for the inspiration for this one. For my sister's 19th birthday (she loves rubber duckies). Duck cake was bc covered with fondant beak and eyes. Blue/green "pond" was a diabetic cake covered with the diabetic icing from this site (her boyfriend is diabetic). Then real rubber duckies for accents.

New Year's Sparkles
Here is my New Year's cake I threw together at the last minute. I originally wanted the sparklers to be ON the cake, but when I did a test run on some fondant, there was ash all over! So, I made two small sugar molds to hold the sparklers off to the sides. Thanks to DH for constructing the clock hands!
