i made this cake for my neice's 12th birthday. She likes devils food cake, so thats what i made. I used sugar cones bought from the grocery store for the two towers. It was useful because then they're edible. :)
I made this cake for my sister and her husband who are renewing their vows in their church. It is my very 1st attempt at a tier cake, and my 1st attempt at using fondant. I think with a little more practice, this could be very good! The top and bottom layers are almond cake with almond paste filling, and the center layer is a spice cake with raspberry filling. The flowers are artificial, I bought them white and used petal dust to color them. Also a 1st for me!
