I had a lot of fun making this one :) The mini veggies were my favourite part. Gumpaste veggies, flowers, bench, bees and ducks. Other accents in fondant and buttercream.
My family and I had a photo shoot this weekend... I thought this would be the perfect cake to celebrate it :) Buttercream trunk, branches and leaves, fondant faces, buttercream hair.
Lots of firsts in this cake for me :) First modeled person, first modeled gum paste bike, first major carved/stacked cake. I think it came out okay :) TFL!

This cake was for a girl who has been a dancer all her life, and is headed off to university to become a dance teacher. She's turning 18, and is a really girly girl :) Hopefully I was able to pull off a Ballet cake that isn't too little girl-ish!! Thanks for looking.

This was my first attempt at making a barbie cake. I used a half ball stacked onto a 6" round for the skirt, and stacked that onto an 8" round base. Marble cake, with chocolate mousse filling!
Chocolate dipped and plain strawberries top this delicious baked, New York Cheesecake!!
My husband requested a Grasshopper cake for his birthday this year, but I ran out of time to make the one he wanted. His second favourite cake is cheesecake, so I combined the best of both worlds! Creme de Menthe in the cheesecake! I added mini Oreo cookies to the cake, and used a chocolate crust. On top, I made Creme de Menthe buttercream swirls and topped them with Peppermint Aero balls! It was SO tasty!!
All buttercream icing. I found the inspiration for this one online. It was for a grade 4 Medieval Feast at my kids school :) Fun cake to do!
My cousin works at a fertility treatment centre. For her boss' birthday, she requested a sperm cake :) The 'head' is a 10" oval, Vanilla cake, Vanilla mousse filling (Of course! LOL), and I molded the tail out of RKT. What a sense of humour her boss must have!

Thanks to so many of you for the inspiration for this cake!!! Mostly Buttercream, fondant flag and ball, piping gel for the water and brown sugar for the sand.
8" Round, buttercream icing, Hand painted chocolate for the logo, and gold dragees to make it Pop!
I did a FBCT for his face. The rest is buttercream. I used the end of my small fondant roller to make the indentations for his body :)
Cake is a leaf shape (carved from a 9 x 13). Flik and Princess Atta are made from modelling chocolate, covered in fondant. It was my first attempt at any sort of figure making... you're welcome to leave constructive criticism!
I covered cupcakes in fondant for the balls of yarn. The cake is chocolate buttercream, and I used Martha's new basketweave for the basket.

Carrot Cake, cream cheese icing. Mike is make from RKT and fondant. I painted his eye on with food colouring diluted with clear vanilla.

Thank you SO much to bethasd for her Karaoke machine cake inspiration. It was a HUGE hit!! Microphone is RKT covered in fondant, the knobs/buttons are fondant, and the words I painted on using food colouring/clear vanilla. Everything else is buttercream. Thanks for looking!
