Baptism Cake
I was up until 2:30 a.m. with this cake for my new nephew. This was my first attempt at gumpaste roses/ leaves, fondant swag, imprinting in buttercream, and using pearls. It was a learning experience! Thanks to wehmom. I totally copied your design! This little boy is a miracle from prayers to Our Lady of Guadalupe, so I needed a design with roses. I know you were inspired by a design from Sugarshack, and I used a color scheme from her website. The cross is storebought. TFL!

Belly Cake
I was dying to do a belly cake, and copied this from pyxxydust. Your cake was so beautiful, and I just changed the colors. This was for one of my best friends who was having her THIRD precious little boy, so pink just wouldn't do! She also requested my chocolate cake, so I had to be creative with the color scheme. Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for looking. This was a fun project!

Augie's 2Nd Birthday
This cake was for my nephew/Godson who just turned two. He loves cars! I copied this straight out of the 2006 yearbook, so there was little creativity involved. Instead of using melted candy for the tires, I used fondant. I made the windshield out of lollipop sticks glued together. Thanks for looking!

Every Play Counts!
This year, our school chose a sports theme, and our slogan is, "Every Play Counts". I came to CC to get ideas and took elements from cakes by luvtodecorate, sweetexpressions, and simplyM. Thanks for the great inspiration and ideas! I didn't think the sheet cake needed support, but I was wrong. The cake had the "bulgies" on the sides! But, my teacher friends all loved it, and it was a great treat for the day before school! All BC. Thanks for looking!

Cowgirl Minnie
I did this cake for my niece's 5th birthday. She had a cowgirl theme and I just used a Mickey Mouse pan. With a dress and a bow between the ears, he became a she! I cut the horse out of a 15" x 11" pan. At the party, we added twine from her hand to the horse's bridle to add the final touch.
