mother wanted a chocolate cake with icing that looked like drit since her daughter wanted to grow up to be an Archaeologist..so this is what I came up with...jelly bean rocks and fondant fossils....crushed oreo's for dirt, buttercream icing and grass boarder.
I covered a stawberry cake with buttercream and made the teddy bear out of fondant.
my first order cake was for a baby shower...this is my first cake to make for someone since taking cake decorating classes...I made the camping birthday cake for my husband but...it wasn't a paid order..I'm proud of how it turned out...the cake is strawberry, buttercream icing and teddy bear is fondant...polka dots bc also
This was my first attempt of working with fondant. I decided not to try and stand the tent or the campfire up but to just lay everything on the cake. This is for my husband so I didn't take great care in hiding flaws....my six year old and husband love it....I have room for improvement but, one has to start somewhere.
