Baseball Stadium
This was for my nephew's 9th birthday. Chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla custard filling. This was not so hard to do. I made two 9 inch cakes. I torted and filled one and carved out the stadium for the other. Then I stacked them and covered in fondant. The flags are the only things not edible.

My Daughter's Shoe Cake
I did this for my 12 year old who absolutely loves shoes. She chose the color! I intended to make the lid, but I was having a hard time, so I decided to do an "open" box with tissue paper coming out of it. You can't see in the picture but the side has a customized shoe box label. I covered the board in the matching color. Oh, and the shoe was freehand. Only after I made it did I see the template on here and next time I will definitely use it.

Dora's House
Here's a better look at Dora's house. This is the first house I ever constructed, so there are some definite mistakes, but I'm pretty happy with it. I did it all from memory and looking at my daughter's Dora videos, because I did a search on the web and noone has done this in cake. It's rice krispies treats covered in fondant. The vines are hand painted. The door and window details were individually cut and attached one by one.

Treasure Chest For My Nephew's Pirate Theme Birthday
First of all, thank you to every CC'er that has posted a treasure chest cake. I looked at many pictures for inspiration. I made it my own by making a treasure map replica of his invitation. The lid is cake, but next time I will make it out of rice krispies treats, the lid was way too heavy. I made random marks on the fondant and then painted it.

Birthday Cake
I made this for my husband's birthday. The colors matched the napkins. Bottom cake was chocolate with raspberry bavarian cream. Top layer chocolate/white cake with nutella filling(big hit). Covered in fondant, fondant accents and fondant ruffles. First time making ruffles, not as easy as I thought.

Hawaiian Theme
This was for a 65th birthday. She absolutely loved it. I know the flip flops are not to scale but I meant it that way. I wanted it to be like a big centerpiece on top of the cake. Everything is edible except the flowers on the columns. The flip flops are cake covered in fondant. I had a little problem with that. I put them in the freezer and when they defrosted the fondant got all weird. Oh well, lesson learned. Overall, I'm really happy with the results.
