Bhc February Birthdays Cake
This is one of two cakes for our local Hospital for monthly birthdays. I made two of these. They are 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate iced with BC and decorated with FBCT clipboard and royal color flow other items. I tried the best of both worlds. Each cake is equal amounts box cake and scratch cake.

Grandfather Clock Arial View
This clock is made in a long loaf pan. Coconut butter pound cake torted into three layers and filled with Coconut Cream filling with a little rum for kick. Icing two tone BC/Vanilla and Chocolate. Clock face is MMF and all the pop-outs are Gumpaste. All accents brushed with gold pearl lustre. The "wood moldings" are a little shaky, should have had a shot of the rum.

Snowflake Cake
I had a chocolate cake in the freezer and had an extra layer of pound cake so I added some orange flavor to the pound cake and torted the layer and alternated choc. and orange filled with orange flav cream cheese butter cream. I have been working on the snowflakes for some time now and finally got to put it all together.

Christmas Kissing Ball Cake
I saw the kissing ball in the J&P rose catalog and thought it would made a nice cake. I used the Wilton large sports ball pan. The cake is pound cake with Egg Nog BC filling. The whole thing has about 65 roses on it so it was good practice. The bow and holly are MMF with Super Pearl lustre. It ended up a lot larger than I thought.

Morning Glory Cake
this is a dummy cake made on a cerealbox with all royal icing. I made the mistake of reading the Wilton directions for the morning glories AFTER I tried the flowers. I saw this combination of flowers growing wild alongside the road. The pink flowers are called knot weed in Missouri.

Daylily Cake
This is my first tiered fondant cake. I wanted to try different cakes so the bottom is yellow butter cake, the second is marble and the top is leftover chocolate batter. I made the lilies with gumpaste and royal icing. I used marshmallow fondant which was very stretchy and sometimes just about got away from me.
