Wolf Cake
This was my frist attempt at FBCT. I'm not sure I did this right because the transfer sat really high on top of the icing . . . maybe I lined the back too thick?? Its a vanilla cake with Bumbleberry filling and vanilla buttercream icing. I made this for a co-worker who is a biologist and was leaving to work on a North American Wolf study project in Yellowstone.

Halloween Lunch 2006
I made this for lunch tomorrow with my two best friends. This is the first time I have managed to cover a cake with fondant, although I can't for the life of me get it to not fold over at some point! At least with this design I can cover the oopsies with icing. Its not too original but it was enough considering my skill level.

Mom's 50Th Birthday Cakes
I posted a different pic earlier but realized it was blurry . . . these are the cakes I did for my moms 50th birthday. 10" spice cake with apple filling and buttercream. 8" chocolate with chocolate buttercream. 6" pumpkin spice with honey buttercream. These didn't turn out like I had planned, but everyone was really impressed. Thank you to everyone here for all your help in getting these cakes made!

Lil Buckaroo Cake
Chocolate Cake, Raspberry Filling, Creamy Chocolate Buttercream Frosting, No Fail cookies with Royal Icing for decoration. (I HATED working with this stupid chocolate buttercream . . . . it doesnt crust, was a pain to use, etc.) Cake is for my cousin and his wife, who just found out they are having a baby boy. The nursery is going to be a cowboy theme . . . and since my cousin's nickname is Buck, I put Lil Buckaroo on the cake. (It seems like its going to be the babys nickname.)

Baby Boy Cookies
I made these cookies to decorate a cake with--pics of the finished product will be up tomorrow. I did No Fail cookies with Royal Icing--flavored the icing with LorAnn Raspberry. (Since its a choc cake with raspberry filling.) I love working with Antonia's recipe for Royal Icing! These are the best cookies I have made yet . . .

My First Try!
I decided to give it a dry run and start practicing since I'm planning to make the cake for my moms big 50th party. (I think I'll forgo the lettering and just do a plain cake without writing.) I took a stab at smoothing the buttercream with a Viva papertowel. The decorations I made with MMF. I didnt get the rich colors I wanted at first so I tried painting them with color--still not what I have in mind. Any suggestions?
