Mardi Gras Cake

Cute but nothing special. For my DD's 3rd birthday. Mardi Gras theme. Butter yellow cake w/strawberry filling and BCI. Purple, green, and gold are the traditional colors. For those that do not know, I live in one, if not the only ,place that continues to have a traditional Mardi Gras. Men riding on horseback throughout countryside stopping at houses where they dance and chase chickens. There's no beading throwing or float riding here!

Cupcake Bday Cake

This was suppose to be the '1st cupcake' birthday cake. I couldn't get the spatula/spoon tech. right. It's engrained in me to smooth my icing out perfectly. LOL But I still found it cute. BCI in pink and purple.

Over The Hill 30Th Birthday

My dh's 30th over the hill cake. Choc./choc. w/BCI. half green w/white roses and half black w/black roses. 30 candles. "It's all down hill from here." I wanted the cake to look ugly but the roses def. made it prettier than I would have liked it to be.

Pregnant Mom Silhouette

SIL baby shower. choc BC, fondant accents, 1/2 fudge filling & 1/2 caramel filling on yellow cake. Not quite sure why is doesn't look straight in the picture. It looked straight on the cake. LOL

Baby Carriage On Sheet Cake

11x15 double layer yellow cake. Fillings were strawberry and chocolate. Vanilla icing. Pastel pink and blue decorations.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Tried to make a leaf cake using the heart shaped pan. Using a bundt pan, I made the caterpillar. I cut it in half and placed the pieces opposite of each other. Chocolate chips for the feet, M&M's for eyes, licorice for antennaes.

My 10 Yr. Old Dd's Cookies

Just playing around w/NFSC and Antonia74's royal icing. My daughter made the cookies and icing. (She had very little help from me.) She also decorated them herself too. I'm very proud of her. I think they are awesome.

Purse Cake

This is the first purse cake I make. It is for a 13 yr. old girl's b-day. What do you think?
