This was my first go at making one,it was a fruit cake covered in almond paste and MMf.Also first time at making MMF,even tho it tasted nice I prefer working with my old fondant.The cake was a surprize for my granddaughters 21st recently,I also made cherryripe mud cup cakes with 21 iced on top of them and placed around the board.
I won first with this entry in the top tier of wedding cake today at out local show.

I was going through my old cake photos,thought I would like to share my first attempt at a 3 tier cake,which happen to be for my son's wedding in 1998.The cake wasn't crooked ,it's the photo.
My first attempt at the gerberas,the colours in flowers orange,blue,lime and lilac were the bridesmaid dresses.
