This is a buttercream 3 layer cake...top layer butter pecan, second layer strawberry with homemade strawberry freezer jam filling, and third layer chocalate with candy bar filling. It was a cake to celebrate 5 birthdays, so each silver star has a name piped on. Stars are fondant with buttercream confetti over top the shell borders.
This was for a grown-up guy that loves to go mud boggin'!
Cake for church Luau party. Sheet cake on bottom w/ 8 and 6 inch rounds. Sheet cake was banana w/ banana cream filling, middle layer was a dark chocolate fudge with ganache filling and top layer was white vanilla buttercream between layers. All was done with BC, including palm tree fronds. Did not have a good cake board underneath and got minor cracks in the icing when the cake got moved. Lesson learned there!!
All BC, used design from Wilton Yearbook 93. Bottom tier is chocolate and top is white vanilla. My first tiered cake...well my first real cake ever!
