1St Birthday Cake

I did this one for my daughers first birthday. Instead of a themed party we went with Pink and green. Letter is her initial, i had it cut out of Stainless Steel. Top cake is 6", bottom is 9". In the second picture you can see her name better. I airbrushed her name all over both tiers using a paper stencil, I used the Pearl luster airbrush spray. Had issues with the buttercream on the bottom tier "staining" the fondant, but steamed the cake and it helped hide most of it (unless you know it's there like I do) The third photo has her "smash" cake also. Her "cake" was banana bread.

Golden Birthday

Wanted a pink and black cake, but it was for a golden birthday so I added in some Gold balls on top and some gold on some of the circles. Bottom layer is 12" RiceKripy treats with buttercream and chocolate chip filling, Middle layer is 9" White cake with bavarian creme and raspberry filling, Top layer is 6" chocolate cake with bavarian creme filling. Balls on top are on stainless steel wire.

Brother and sister graduating same year, one from college, one from high school. Put their school logos on the cake. Back ground of each logo was solid color piped and smoothed on the cake. The white writing was done with a stencil. Made stencil out of paper and iced over it with white icing, pulled the paper off and had nice clean lines. 10" square

Betty boop inspired. Film reels have photos of the birthday girl. One is ages 1-10, one is ages 10-18, one is 18-30. Bottom tier is fake cake and important pics throughout her life. Cake was a surprise from me and made her cry as soon as she saw it. cakes 6-8-8-8-12. I realized after it was too late that the photos on the "reels" where going the wrong direction, but my point got across. I had also done the side of reals to use, but they didn't dry in time, will plan better next time.

The "cake" is 5 layers of chocolate chip cookies with buttercream filling and decorated with buttercream icing. The "cookies" are my cake batter dropped by 2T scoops and baked on a cookie sheet. Some are iced with vanilla buttercream and others with chocolate buttercream. There were suppose to only be 11 candles around the cake, but I spaced them wrong so there are 12... but shh... the birthday boy didn't care.

I did this cake for my BF's family reunion at the end of June. Each book is a different flavor, we had white, chocolate, lemon, snickerdoodle, and hummingbird. This cake served a total of 120 ppl and took me about 30-35 hrs to do everything. On the top book of the stack it has the family name and Family History written on it, then each book in the stack is a volume of history, the single book is labeled as Family Reunion 2007. There were quite a few people who tried to pick the books up to read history!

Was for a birthday boy, also did 7 other individually wrapped cookies in the notes and guitars. The only think I don't care for on this one is the guitar strings and the blue bucket, I wish I would have picked up a silver one instead - oh well next time.

Oh I had so much fun doing this one. I got the flower idea out of the galleries, but I didn't save the photo so I don't know who did it sorry! This was the first cake that I was unable to deliver myself and I was a nervous wreck until I heard it made it ok. I made it so that no parts had to be assembled on site, and that they didn't have to return any pieces to me (another challenge in itself) But I love this cake! I think it will be going near the top for my favorites.

Gumpaste bow dusted with super pearl dust. 6" Square cake iced in BC, and used the wilton pan b/c I didn't have enough time to order magic line. (going to do that this week!) 3 layers of filling each one had strawberry and bavarian cream filling alternating.

I did this cake in about 4 1/2 hours for easter b/c we found out the night before at about 7pm what time easter was. Long story short ended up not going to easter and took it to work the next day. Got rave reviews on ti too! 6" cake white cake with raspberry filling. Buttercream icing

This was my first time doing a bow and i think it turned out pretty well. I know now next time I need to make the strips not as wide, but it came together well. This was a thank-you cake I did for my chiro for the last year of everything she has done for me. I delivered it to her one year after my car accident b/c I woudln't be where I am today without her. 6" yellow cake with 3 layers of strawberry filling and buttercream icing-bow was gumpaste and I used the new Wilton pearl dust to color it pink.

These are two variations of the cookie boquets that I did for easter. I found the tins at Wal-mart for $1.00 a piece and loaded up on them. On this order I also included 6-2" chocoalte chip cookies, I had originally planned on putting them in the tin also, but didn't want them to dry out so I will have to figure out something else for next time.
